Schola Cantus Angelorum (SCA) is a women’s Latin schola formed in 2007 as a response to Pope Benedict XVI‘s request for liturgies to be celebrated with the beauty and solemnity of the traditional Gregorian chant.

Upon invitation SCA assists at both EF and OF Masses through chanting the Gregorian Propers and Ordinary. This includes liturgies for Sundays, Solemnities, Feast Days, the Triduum, wedding, and funeral liturgies.

In addition, SCA sponsors an annual Sacred Liturgy Conference in Oregon and an annual Gregorian Liturgy pilgrimage. When invited, SCA also provides instruction on how to chant for local parishes.

“Finally, while respecting various styles and different and highly praiseworthy traditions, I desire, in accordance with the request advanced by the Synod Fathers, that Gregorian chant be suitably esteemed and employed as the chant proper to the Roman liturgy”
